Xiaomi Mi A2 Launched

Xiaomi has launched Mi A2 Android One smartphone globally in Spain on July 24th. The phone will be available on Amazon and Xiaomi’s online mobile store and also be available offline in Mi Home stores across India. It will be available for Pre-order from 9 Aug 2018.

The Mi A2 is similar to Mi 6x which launched in china in April 2018.

Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with 5.99 inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Processor with clock speed upto 2.2GHz and with Adreno 512 GPU to handle the graphics. It comes with 4GB and 6GB of RAM while internal storage will either be 32GB, 64GB or 128GB. It runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and the Android P would be available in the coming months.

The main highlight of the device is camera. It has a 12MP rear camera with f/1.75 aperture with Sony IMX486 sensor and a 20MP secondary rear camera with Sony IMX376 sensor for the portrait mode.

It also has the same 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor for the front camera with phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), soft LED flash and AI beautification. The front camera is also used for Face Unlock.

The Mi A2 has a 3,000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 with the power input upto 18W. It comes with USB Type-C port, but there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

It has some features of Google Pixel like the Google Lens will be fully integrated into the device as it runs on Android One software and there will also be free unlimited storage on Google Photos. Xiaomi says there will be regular security updates for the device.

The price starts at 16,999 for the 4GB Ram 64GB Rom.
