Yes, that’s right, WhatsApp is working on a new feature which would allow the users to log in and access their WhatsApp accounts on more than one device on multiple platforms simultaneously.
The official statements are not out yet so we can not foretell the launch date right now. But WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo says that this is no longer a rumour, and has confirmed the news. WABetaInfo hasn’t mentioned any other details to support the claim but just says that the multi-platform system feature is indeed in process. WABetaInfo also says that this includes WhatsApp for Windows, which enables the users to use the app on their PC as well.
WABetaInfo asserts that the multi-platform system will work on iOS, Android, and even WhatsApp for Windows whenever it arrives. This implies that users will be authorised to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices, without being logged out of the first one.
Users will be able to use their WhatsApp account on iPad without removing it from their iPhone. It will mostly work with devices logged in with same Apple ID. Likewise, the same WhatsApp account can be used on iOS and Android devices as well.
Users can access their accounts on another device even if their primary device is not having an active internet connection.
Therefore, cross-platform and multiple-device support can be made available and can be seen for beta testing very soon.
