Xiaomi has launched its 8th generation Redmi Note smartphones: the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro, in India. These devices come in several combinations which all fall under the 20,000 INR category. The devices have a lot to offer, even in this price segment.
The Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro devices can be bought via Xiaomi’s own online and offline stores, as well as Amazon India starting October 21, 12 PM.
Now let’s talk about the devices themselves:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8
The Redmi Note 8 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. The Note 8 will be available in Green and Blue colours and is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 4 GB RAM plus 64 GB storage variant, and Rs 12,999 6 GB RAM plus 128 GB storage variant.
We like the fact that Xiaomi is providing a 4,000mAh battery with 18 W fast charging support in the Note 8 devices.
The Note 8 also flaunts a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the front.
On the back, the Note 8 houses a quad-camera setup, featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor plus a 2-megapixel sensor macro lens and also a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also a 13-megapixel front shooter embedded in the notch of the Redmi Note 8 smartphones. The device runs Android 9 out of the box.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
The Note 8 Pro features the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC which is a gaming-centric and powerful system. It is paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage.
The Note 8 Pro also comes with a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The display is a 6.53-inch FHD+ resolution panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. TOn this one, the rear quad-camera setup is placed in the centre, instead of the side.
The Note 8 Pro features a 64-megapixel primary sensor.
In the waterdrop notch of the Pro, is a 20-megapixel camera unit. Like the Redmi Note 8, the Note 8 Pro also comes with Android 9 out of the box. The device comes in black, red, blue and white, and is priced at Rs 14,999 for the 6 GB plus 64 GB variant, Rs 15,999 for the 6 GB plus 128 GB and Rs 17,999 for the flagship 8 GB plus 128 GB variant.
