Realme 5, Realme 5 Pro launched in India Starting at Rs 9,999

Realme has now launched its Realme 5 series of smartphones in the budget to mid-range segment. Realme has priced the smartphones very attractively ranging between 9,999 INR to 16,999 INR.

At this price, the company is providing with decent features and specifications with admirable build quality as well.

The devices are divided into two segments with the Realme 5 being the entry-level device and the Realme 5 Pro as the higher end.

The Realme 5

The Realme 5 comes in three variants, the 32gb, the 64gb and the 128gb priced at 9,999 INR, 10,999 INR and 11,999 INR respectively.

All three variants house a massive 5000 mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 AIE and Adreno 610 GPU. The base 32gb variant comes with 3gb of RAM while the other two come with 4gb of RAM respectively. External storage is expandable via SD Cards up to 256gb in all three variants.

The camera setup is also the same in all three variants featuring a rear Quad-Camera setup with 12MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP sensors, and the front-facing camera is a 16MP shooter in all.

The Display is a 6.5-inch LCD HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection on the touch panel.

The system runs on Color OS 6.0.1 on top of Android 9.0 Pie.

The back features a fingerprint sensor on the rear, next to all four cameras and Realme branding. The lock-screen button is placed on the right while the volume rockers are placed on the left and with a waterdrop notch on the front.

The sale will begin on 27th August, noon, on Flipkart.

The Realme 5 Pro

The higher-end ofRealme’s 5 series of smartphones also come in three variants, the 64gb with 4gb RAM, the 64gb with 6gb of RAM and finally the 128gb with 8gb of RAM priced at 13,999 INR, 14,999 INR and 16,999 INR respectively.

These three variants house a 4035 mAh battery with Realme’s VOOC fast charging and Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE with a smaller screen size of 6.3-inches but with a higher quality LCD FHD+ display. Now we know what the word “Pro” means here.

Apart from that, all three variants have 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP Quad-Camera setup on the back and 16MP shooters on the front.

The body structure and button placement would be the same as that of the Realme 5 which is fairly reasonable.

For this one, sales will start on the 4th of September, noon, and will be available via Flipkart.

All the Realme 5 series smartphones keep the headphone jack and dedicated SD Card slots which are very impressive.

Overall, this is a great competition for the smartphones which are ruling the mid-range and budget segment.
