Realme 2 and Realme C1 Prices Hiked in India

Realme is the young smartphone brand in India. Now Realme has hiked the prices of the recently launched Realme 2 and Realme C1. The company has decided to increase the prices of the budget and mid-range smartphones due to the aggressive pricing. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth already said that Realme has less than 3% profit margin because of aggressive pricing.

The main reason for this is the continuous increasing of the dollar rate. Due to this the company has to increase the prices of the smartphones in India.

Recently Realme CEO Madhav Sheth tweeted on Twitter that

The rupee rates are falling and as a brand we actually work on low margins. It indicates that we might have to upgrade the pricing, just to make sure that we continue to give you the best technology in our upcoming offerings. We are trying to figure out a solution post Diwali.

Below are the new prices of the smartphones:

Realme 2

3GB + 32GB : Rs. 9,499 (Rs. 500 hiked)

Realme C1

2GB + 16GB : Rs.7,999 (Rs. 1,000 hiked)
