As we are approaching the release of the much anticipated OnePlus 7T series, new leaks from our sources are continuously flowing in.
The most recent news suggests that there will be two variants of the OnePlus 7T Pro, the basic edition and the McLaren edition which is in partnership with sports car maker McLaren, just like we saw in the OnePlus 6T.
Both the devices will feature the same, curved edge-to-edge screen with a pop-up selfie camera, as seen in 7 Pro.
The design and the dimensions will remain unchanged so we can expect the display to be 6.67-inch in size.
The handsets will rock the same, Fluid-AMOLED display with the beautiful 90Hz refresh rate and in-display fingerprint scanner as the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The only physical difference between the 7 Pro and the 7T Pro will be of the colours they would come in. The 7T Pro will most likely come in a new colour option, the Haze Blue, which is seen in the renders.
The 7T Pro McLaren Edition will feature a textured back, and orange accents that start from the middle of both sides and cover the bottom are also visible. If we make an assumption, the 7T Pro McLaren Edition will come with 40W or 45W fast charging. However, we cannot say that for sure.
We can expect OnePlus to equip the 7T Pro devices with Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 855+. The new chip offers a slightly higher clock speed of 2.96GHz as compared to 2.84GHz clock speed of the Snapdragon 855 SoC. The new processor will increase single-threaded performance by 4.2 per cent and the GPU clock speed is 15 per cent higher.
As for the RAM and storage variants, the handset could come in 6 GB plus 128 GB, 8 GB plus 256 GB, and 12 GB plus 256 GB variants with only the 12GB plus 256GB for the McLaren Edition. So there won’t likely be any change in the configurations.
The starting price is expected to be around 53,000 INR for the base variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage.
The devices could be launched on 26th of this month and could go on sale, a week or two after that, via Amazon or official offline stores.
