HMD Global has launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus with Android One software in India.
The Android One program is quite popular in other countries including India, recently, Xiaomi has launched the Mi A2 which also run on Android One program with few Xiaomi apps. Now Nokia has launched its new Nokia 6.1 Plus with Android One and the device priced at Rs 15,999.
In this box you get the Nokia 6.1 Plus, Fast charger which is Quick charge 3.0, USB Type-C cable, 3.5mm earphone and a Sim ejector pin.
Nokia 6.1 Plus Design and display:
Like many other smart phones which was launched in 2018, the Nokia 6.1 Plus also comes with a glass back finish with unibody design and with the Notch display with the aspect ratio of 19:9. It has IPS LCD 5.8 inches Full HD+ display with pixel density of 432.
The phone’s screen looks bright in Sunlight. The viewing angles are also good so that the users can get a better view when watching videos or playing games.
The fingerprint sensor is placed at the rear side of the phone. It looks like a premium phone as Nokia never compromises on the built quality. It also offers almost a bezel-less display with a small chin at the bottom.
The Notch houses the front camera, Ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and the earpiece. The Power and volume buttons are placed at the right side of the device. It also comes with headphone jack on the top.
Hardware and Software:
Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with Android One software where the users feel the stock Android operating system which is similar to Google Pixel’s software.
We have seen that Nokia gives Android security patches updates and new Android version updates from time to time. From this we also expect that the device can soon get Android Pie 9.0.
The phone currently runs on Android Oreo 8.1 operating system. The device has 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor which is clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 509 GPU.

The Phone is equipped with Dual rear camera setup and a single selfie camera. The rear camera comes with 16MP (f/2.0, 1.0µm, PDAF) + 5MP (f/2.4, 1.12µm) where the 16MP sensor is the primary sensor and 5MP is the depth sensor which is used for bokeh Mode or Portrait mode.
The selfie camera comes with a 16MP (f/2.0, 1.0µm). The front camera also comes with Portrait mode. There is no dedicated camera for Portrait mode but it uses AI for that.
Like the other Nokia phones, this phone also comes with bothie mode which is used to capture with both the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with 3060 mah battery and comes with a USB Type C port. The company claims that the phone lasts for one day. But for average users the battery will last for one day and for heavy users who plays games the phone’s battery can last till evening.
Nokia 6.1 Plus is the Android One device in the budget range. The highlights of this phone are its notch display, build quality, dual rear cameras, regular software updates and 3.5mm jack.
