Apple has launched the 2019 iPhones, yesterday, at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, USA and it has become the talk of the day. There are three smartphones launched this year, namely iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The iPhone 11 succeeds the XR while the other two succeed XS and XS Max respectively from last year.
The iPhone 11 starts at INR 64,990 and the 11 Pro starts at INR 99,990 and will be available from 27th September itself.
According to us, here are the Top 10 iPhone 11 features:
Dual-Lens On iPhone 11
Apple has adopted the dual-camera module on the rear of its iPhone 11. The camera has new wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses for 2x zoom and a wider field of view. Apple says that its new dual-lens camera is also three times faster than earlier iPhone cameras. Some new portrait styles are present on the iPhone 11 series. And a new night mode is brought to the iPhone. There’s also a new “Quick Take” feature that will record a video if the click button is long pressed.
Triple-Lens On iPhone 11 Pro
The professional-grade triple camera setup is added to iPhone 11 Pro. It carries 2x zoom-in and 2x zoom-out to a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Apple’s launched a new “Deep Fusion” processing system for images, which uses machine learning to capture a total of 9 images and then combines them into a single photo in just one second.
All three camera lenses on the new iPhone 11 Pro shoot 4K video with HDR.
New A13 Bionic Chipset
Apple’s claims that its A13 Bionic chipset is the fastest CPU and GPU in a smartphone. It also has improved power consumption which would give users 1 more hour of battery life on the iPhone 11, when compared to the iPhone XR.
The A13 Bionic features improvements in machine learning as well. It comes with machine learning accelerators and a dedicated machine learning controller, so, now the CPU is capable of more than 1 trillion operations per second. This is seen for the first time in a smartphone. It’s built on a 7nm architecture and has 8.5 trillion transistors on a single chip. The new chip is up to 20% faster than the A12 Bionic.
Wi-Fi 6 Support
Apple’s new series of iPhones will come with the super-fast and super-reliable Wi-Fi 6 technology which will provide better connectivity over networks.
Front Slo-Mo Videos
The new iPhones feature slow-motion video recording on the front-facing camera as well, which Apple is calling “Slofies”.
New Super Retina XDR Displays
Apple’s new displays on the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are named Super Retina XDR Displays. We don’t know why.
They are said to offer better colours, increased brightness, and a couple of things more.
New Protection Glass
Apple claims to have changed the smartphone glass game by launching the new devices with, what they call, the strongest glass on a smartphone ever. The same glass covers the back as well.
This should mean lesser cracks and scratches in accidental drops.
The devices generate a sound area around the device, which the company is calling “Spatial Audio”.
It is a 3D-like audio technology which is given for the first time on iPhones and is said to make the sound experience, more immersive. Dolby Atmos support is also present.
A distinct Midnight-Green colour has been added to the lineup on the iPhone 11 Pro, which some people dig, others don’t. Space Gray, Silver, and Gold are all still available.
A new Purple finish is also added to the 11 which retains all the colours from the XR.
Battery Life and Charging Speeds
Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro gives up to 4 hours of additional battery life and the iPhone 11 Pro Max offers 5 additional hours of battery life when compared to the iPhone XS.
Apple will include an 18W wall adapter and USB-C to Lightning cable in the box with the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The iPhone 11 will give users 1 additional hour of battery life on the iPhone 11 when compared to the iPhone XR.
Sadly, the iPhone 11 still gets the old and slow, 5W adapter.
