Honor has launched the Honor Play mobile recently in India. Honor Play is the mid range smartphone which has the flagship specifications. It is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor, which is its most-powerful chipset designed by Huawei. The Smartphone is targeted to Gamers which runs all games smoothly with high graphics. The base variant 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM is priced at Rs 19,999 and the 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM is prices at Rs 23,999. These are the key highlights of the phone lets look into the full specification.

Honor Play sports the full metal uni-body design. While the premium smartphones from the company feature a glass back, but Honor has opted to go with full metal uni-body design with this phone. The phone is well built and it looks like a premium phone and is comfortable to hold. The volume rockers and the power button is placed at the right side of the phone and SIM slot is placed at the right side of the phone. The rear side of the phone has a vertically placed dual rear cameras followed by LED flash and AI camera badging. The fingerprint scanner is placed at the center of the phone.

The company claims that the GPU turbo increases the performance by 60% and decreases the power consumption by 30% and thus it increases the over all battery life of the smartphone. The GPU Turbo is currently optimized for PUBG and the recently-launched Asphalt 9 games.

In terms of software, the smartphone runs on latest EMUI 8.2 UI on the top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The interface is same as what we have seen with other Huawei and Honor smartphones.

The Phone is better when compared to its price and the company has focused heavily on hardware to make it so that users can get better performance while playing the game. Together, we get an AI enabled feature in Honor play back camera which helps to get a better quality picture and videos from the phone. But in its back camera, the second camera is 2MP. This may be a little problem in capturing the Portrait shorts.
Honor Play is a value for money product in my opinion. In which we get all the trending smartphone features. Such as the Notch display, face lock, AI camera. The GPU Turbo feature in it has given me the most liked feature.
